2023 First Baptist Advent Devotion “Along the Way”
Like the angels and stars in the Christmas story, we all have people and things that help guide us on our spiritual journey. In this year’s Advent devotion, writers will share who or what helps them along their way. Contact the church office to receive the daily devotion.

Hanging of the Green • Sunday, Dec. 3 • 6:00 p.m. • Sanctuary
All ages will help adorn the Sanctuary with poinsettias, garland, candles, and Chrismons on the tree. After the singing of carols and offering of food donations, we will enjoy a delicious holiday reception.

Asheville Youth Choirs Concert, Christmas is a Feeling • Sunday, Dec. 10 • 5:00 p.m. • Sanctuary
Hear our Children’s Concert Choir and Youth Chorale sing heart-warming carols and Christmas songs in a concert entitled Christmas is a Feeling. This performance is free and open to all.

Christmas Mission Night • Wednesday, December 13 • 6:00 p.m. • Gym
Share the joy of Christmas with neighbors near and far through cards, crafts, and Christmas dinner kits as we engage in this intergenerational hands-on mission night.  If you are able please bring a dozen cookies to share that we can enjoy together while we work.

The Many Moods of Christmas • Sunday, Dec. 17 • 7:00 p.m. • Sanctuary
The FBCA adult choir, instrumentalists, and Tate Addis present this Christmas concert. The concert includes many well-known carols and an opportunity to sing along. This performance is free and open to all.

The traditions of the Christmas season are celebrated through
communion, carols, and candlelight.

Lessons & Carols, Candlelight, & Communion • 9:00 p.m. • Chapel
Centered around communion, we remember this holy night in the
reading of Scripture and songs of faith.
