The first FBCA water filtration project in Las Tunas, Cuba, was started in 2016 and expanded the next year. These filters have provided clean water for the community around the Elohim Church but need to be replaced. In addition to the water filters, the team going to Cuba will be taking the musical instruments that we have collected. Through the hard work of the Sixth Grade Rocks class and the generosity of the church, we will be able to provide new water filters, as well as support the music education programs that are being started at the church. Later this week, an adult team will travel to Cuba to visit with our sister church. The team will also be bringing a ministerial stole for pastor Mauracia Solo in recognition of her upcoming ordination. The liturgical stole was handmade by a Cuban artist and purchased by our young adults last January when they visited the Kairos Center and the Baptist seminary in Matanzas.
