Sharing Food with Neighbors Just Down the Street
White Christmas in December
Beginning on Sunday, November 29, at Hanging of the Green and tree lighting in the front parking lot of FBCA, our church will be collecting food for neighbors who live within walking distance of our church. We’ll share a bag full of food with over 100 friends at Altamont, Battery Park, and Vanderbilt Apartments during the week of December 14-18. We will continue to share food boxes with families across our city. You can imagine the need for a little something extra to brighten this season in a time when day to day needs go unmet. Click on NEW LIST for items needed to fill each bag to overflowing. Bible study classes will again be asked to bring specific items from each class to help fill each bag. Review the list. Buy your items and share them at Hanging of the Green or drop them off at the church.
When can I deliver? Drop your items off at the church on Mondays through Thursdays, 10:00 a.m.- 4:00 p.m. Look for the box under the atrium entrance area.
Unable to bring food donations but would like to help? Please go to the church website and click on GIVE. Select Designated Gift. In the Designated Gift Description, type Hunger Relief. You may also mail a contribution to the church at 5 Oak Street, Asheville, NC 28801.
