This service will include music, prayers, ashes, scripture, and a homily by Mack Dennis.
Scripture and prayer guides will be provided to assist in your time of reflection.
These contemplative worship experiences with prayers and liturgy invite you to enter a place of rest, prayer, and reflection. Around the theme, “Come To Me Weary Traveler,” you will hear stories from church members. Musically, you will hear from soloists, instrumentalists, and ensembles. Visually, you can expect to see a dim room with many lighted candles.

At the beginning of Holy Week, we focus on the entry of Jesus Christ into Jerusalem to shouts of “Hosanna! Blessed is the one who comes in the name of the Lord!” Our children will process with palms as we turn our attention to Jesus’ journey to the cross.
Maundy Thursday Foot Washing, April 6 • Noon • SACRED GARDEN
We gather in the Sacred Garden to recall and reenact Jesus’ example in the Upper Room’ to wash one another’s feet in humble service, calling us to selfless service of others.

“Maundy” comes from the Latin word “mandatum” meaning “commandment,” reflecting Jesus’ words, “I give you a new commandment, that you love one another. Just as I have loved you, you also should love one another” (John 13:34). Hymns, scriptural meditation, music by the Adult Choir, and a special observance of the Lord’s Supper inspire worshippers to remember the sacrifice of Christ.

We gather to follow Jesus through the stations of the cross, with prayers, scripture readings, and dramatic renderings of his passion.
Easter Sunrise Service • 7:00 a.m. • Sacred Garden
We gather at dawn for an outdoor worship service to remember and celebrate Christ’s resurrection with scripture, hymns, a brief message, and music as the sun rises.
Easter Worship • 11:00 a.m. • Sanctuary
We celebrate the resurrection of Jesus with a service of word and table, flowered cross, Easter lilies, and music offered by the Adult Choir.
