Lent & Easter 2024

Join us for Lent & Easter

Lenten Vesper Services Wednesday, February 21-March 20 6:00 p.m. Chapel
These candlelit worship experiences with prayers and liturgy invite you to enter a place of rest and contemplation. The theme is “Teach Us How To Pray” and will feature a weekly reflection by Mary Caldwell.

Palm Sunday • Sunday, March 24 • 11:00 a.m. • Sanctuary
At the beginning of Holy Week, we focus on the entry of Jesus Christ into Jerusalem to shouts of “Hosanna! Blessed is the one who comes in the name of the Lord!” Our children’s choir will sing and process with palms as we turn our attention to Jesus’ journey to the cross.

Maundy Thursday  • Thursday, March 28 • 6:00 p.m. • Sanctuary
“Maundy” comes from the Latin word “mandatum” meaning “commandment,” reflecting Jesus’ words, “I give you a new commandment, that you love one another. Just as I have loved you, you also should love one another” (John 13:34). Hymns, scriptural meditation, music by the Adult Choir and instrumentalists, and a special observance of the Lord’s Supper inspire worshippers to remember the sacrifice of Christ.

Good Friday Service – Stations of the Cross • Friday, March 29 • Noon • Sacred Garden/Sanctuary
We gather to follow Jesus through the stations of the cross with prayers, scripture readings, and dramatic renderings of his passion.
