Dear Friends of the Asheville Nativity Exhibit:
We love our Asheville Nativity annual event, and we deeply appreciate each of you who have attended, volunteered, performed, loaned sets, and otherwise supported this Christmas celebration!
Asheville Nativity continues on this year, but not as a physical display. While there were concerns about how we would limit attendance and manage social distancing for a physical event, our over-riding concern was that most of those who help set up and host the event are in higher-risk age categories, and it would not have been fair to expect them to participate this year.
The video to the right is our virtual display this year, and was lovingly compiled from images over the last four years of our exhibit, We hope you enjoy it and share it with your family, friends, and neighbors! It is almost 20 minutes long. You can make the video full-screen by starting it and then clicking on the expand option at the lower right. A second video, not compiled by us, but a world-wide collection that we contributed to, can be viewed here.
Special thanks also to Sarah Kehrberg (fiddle) and Kevin Kehrberg (guitar) for “Come, Thou Long Expected Jesus” (arr. V. Williams), and to Ashleigh Phillips (vocals) and Aaron Price (piano) for “The First Noel,” “Carol of the Bells,” “What Child Is This?,” and “I Believe.”
