Second Sunday of Advent

“The Word of God Came to John”

Mack Dennis, pastor

Scripture: Luke 3:1-6

First Baptist Church of Asheville has begun in-person worship on Sundays at 11:00 a.m.

Bible Study for all ages at 10:00 a.m.

Updates on Sundays and Masking @ FBCA
Based on updated guidelines from the Centers for Disease Control as well as the unanimity among our own internal health care experts, First Baptist Church of Asheville will again require masks in all indoor settings for all persons attending Bible study and worship. This applies to those who have been vaccinated and those who have not been or cannot be vaccinated. It also applies to Bible study classes that have previously gone unmasked because all members were known to be vaccinated. The spread of the COVID Delta variant places all at risk for spreading the disease to those at risk for severe illness and death. We want to do all we can to be safe and help others remain safe.
At this time, reservations are not needed for worship. All are welcome.
Leaders on the stage in worship will be fully vaccinated. They may remove their masks as they share. Designated sections on the piano side of the sanctuary on the main floor and balcony will remain reserved for any who might wish to maximize their social distancing in this time. We want to offer as much support as possible as we navigate this season.
We encourage all who are able to get vaccinated as soon as possible.

Sunday Schedule

Beginning on September 5, Sunday worship will be at 11:00 a.m., in-person and online.
