Resident Aliens: Being the Church in a Secular World
Wednesdays on September 11, 25, and October 9, 16 • 6:00 p.m. • SC207
Led by Mack Dennis
Join Mack for a Wednesday night book discussion on the landmark essay by theologians Stanley Hauerwas and William Willimon, Resident Aliens: A provocative Christian assessment of culture and ministry for people who know that something is wrong. We will wrestle with the authors’ call “to a way of life at odds with an unchristian world.” We’ll also wonder together about their claim that the post-modern world presents the church with extraordinary opportunities for radical faith and the renewal of the church. Books are free to participants, but you must sign up by emailing Tommy Bratton (email@example.com) or by calling the church office 828.252.4781.
