Casey Callahan

Coordinating Pastor

Casey guides the mission and reconciliation work of the congregation and coordinates the implementation of the church’s vision of Beautiful Belonging. He provides oversight to the pastoral staff and nurtures a healthy congregational ecosystem – ripe with creativity and a flourishing of ministry. Casey joined the FBCA staff in 2014 as Pastor of Youth & Missions.

Casey grew up on a family farm in Travelers Rest, SC, where the best parts of life occurred outdoors. He studied the soil at Clemson University and then shifted studies to the soul at Baptist Theological Seminary at Richmond (Virginia). Casey completed a doctorate of ministry degree program in 2017 at Louisville Seminiary (KY) focusing on the exploration of Celtic Spirituality. Casey frequently finds points of intersection between the sacred and the mundane, and deeply enjoys exploring such intersections with ​others. He makes his home in Asheville with his partner, Martha Ann, and their two children.
