Peacemakers Book Club (Two Session Series)
Wednesdays, October 7 and 14 * 5:00-6:00 p.m. * Conference Office Room
Join us for an engaging discussion of Money, Lies, and God by Katherine Stewart. This session will explore the book’s in-depth examination of Christian nationalism and its growing influence on American politics and society. With careful research and compelling analysis, Stewart sheds light on the networks, funding, and ideas driving this movement, inviting readers to think critically about the intersection of religion and democracy.
Our October 7 session will be led by Chris Highland, College For Seniors instructor and former chaplain, who will guide us through the book’s key themes and insights. On October 14, we will continue with a further group discussion to reflect more deeply on the material.
Please plan to read the book in preparation for these two evenings to get the most out of the conversation. Purchase your meal in the Dining Room and bring it with you if you like. Don’t miss this opportunity to engage in a timely and thought-provoking discussion.
