May 31, 2026. Trinity Sunday. Year A.
On his last Sunday before sabbatical, Mack recalls Paul’s benediction to bless the church and offer words of instruction and encouragement. Focusing on the charge, “Be restored,” he invites everyone to look forward to the summer as a unique time to rest, reflect, and enjoy the anticipation of a new season of ministry together. Inherent in Paul’s instruction is not an admonition to try to be restored, but more simply to be who God has already enabled us to be “by the grace of the Lord Jesus, the love of God, and the communion of the Holy Spirit.”
