Adult Fall Mission Opportunities 2025

Three Fall Mission Trips

This fall, the Mission Council is excited to offer three unique mission trip opportunities — each one a chance to share in holy and compassionate work amidst communities facing systemic hardships. Whether it’s lending support at the U.S. – Mexico border, helping to care for migrant workers in Florida, or joining rebuilding efforts in Puerto Rico, these trips are timely and will bring us alongside ministries that are doing good and faithful work in the name of Christ. General expenses for these mission trips include $50 per night plus airfare. Mission trip scholarships are also available upon request of an application. If you have any interest in joining one of these teams, complete the Interest Survey online or call the church office at 828-252-4781.

Migrant Care

November 11-15 (spots are still availble)

At our second domestic mission trip, we’ll travel to Immokalee, Florida to work alongside Cooperative Baptist Fellowship field personnel Rick Burnett to support migrant communities facing food scarcity. This trip offers a hands-on opportunity to address a critical need and share hope through service. Rick and Ellen have an abundance of global mission experience and will be impressive hosts for our group.

Puerto Rico

October 5-11 (Registration is closed for this trip)

We’re also preparing to travel internationally to Puerto Rico to assist in disaster relief and home rebuilding efforts. Many communities are still recovering from devastating storms, and our commitment to returning year after year fosters a lasting impact in both physical and spiritual ways – for each of our team members and for the host congregation, FBC Rio Piedras.

US-Mexico Border

September 28-October 2 (This trip is full, registration is closed)

Our first trip takes us to Harlingen, Texas, where we’ll partner with Cooperative Baptist Fellowship missionary and immigration lawyer Elket Rodriguez to support refugee families at the U.S.–Mexico border. These families are in urgent need of basic necessities and care, and we’ll be there to offer both practical help and the reassuring presence of Christ’s love. Though we will remain in the U.S. for the duration of this trip, we will be face to face with the unfolding reality of global migration.
