Plan Your Visit

Visiting any church for the very first time can be a little intimidating.
Where do I go? What do I wear? What time do I show up? What’s here for my kids? What can I expect?
As you plan your visit, we want to put you at ease. Whether you’ve grown up in church, never been to church, or are coming back to church, our desire is that you feel welcomed and accepted.

What is the Sunday morning schedule?

We worship in the sanctuary on Sunday mornings at 11:00 a.m. Our worship services are normally an hour or slightly less. Worship Care for preschoolers is available during the worship service. Sunday morning Bible study groups for adults, youth, and children meet at 10:00 a.m. (some groups meet at 9:45 a.m. – if you have a specific group you wish to attend, please contact the church).

What do I wear?

People who attend worship at First Baptist Church of Asheville wear a variety of attire, so you will be welcome here whatever you wear.

Parking and Accessibility

Parking for guests and members on Sunday morning is available in the Charlotte Street parking lot, the One Oak parking lot, or the Woodfin parking lot. Handicapped accessible parking is available in Charlotte Street and Woodfin Street lots.

There are greeters in the Atrium entrance, which is by the playground in the Charlotte Street parking lot. They will be glad to help direct you to Bible study groups or to the sanctuary for worship.
